BOARD INAUGURATION

“Mr. Simon Chelugui, the Cabinet Secretary of Cooperatives and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development, presided over the inauguration ceremony of the new Youth Enterprise Development Fund (YEDF) Board in an event witnessed by Ms. Susan Mang’eni, the Principal Secretary for MSMEs Development.
VALUE ADDITION GIVES RELIABLE INCOME

“My name is Elizabeth Mumbi. I am a member of Mashmakh Youth Group based in Lari constituency, Kiambu County. We specialize in value addition. We make carrot flour, carrot flakes and dried traditional African vegetables. The idea to focus on value addition was based on research. Coming from an agricultural community, we observed that there was a lot of wastage of crops especially vegetables during the rainy season and a lack of it during the dry season.
TAKE LOANS AND REPAY, YOUTH URGED
PS Kwekwe February , 2019-
The Principal Secretary in the State Department of Gender Affairs, Ms. Safina Kwekwe, has urged young people who have borrowed loans from the Youth Enterprise Development Fund to repay so as to avail money for others to borrow. Ms. Kwekwe noted that YEDF is a revolving Fund and as such requires those who have borrowed to repay so as to avail credit for others to borrow.
